Fitment or Installation Centers

A fitment centre is a professional facility that is a specialized workshop that installs security and protection features onto vehicles.

Accepted Fitment Centres are locations that have agreed to meet the aftermarket manufacturer’s written procedures for their products and have successfully completed all their required training.

Fitment Centres ATVPS membership requires that they agree to maintain compliance with all AVTPS requirements.

 Requirements:

o   To have an aftermarket security products supplier.

o   To have the physical space to complete vehicle modifications free from the public's eyes.

o   To have all required licenses and insurance coverages.

o   To only use technicians who are in good standing with AVTPS for ATVPS-accepted security products.

o   To protect the confidentiality elements of the solutions and to abide by the restrictions of information sharing regarding the installation/product operation.

o   To agree to comply with the aftermarket product’s written instructions and AVTPS membership requirements.

o   To register all installations/modifications/repairs within the AVTPS’ data registry in a timely manner.

o   To comply with inspections and quality workmanship reviews.

o   To maintain a good standing relationship with AVTPS and the aftermarket security manufacturers’ products/solutions.

o   To follow any written corrective action instructions by AVTPS.

o   To maintain a healthy and respectful relationship with the AVTPS membership.

 

Benefits:

When AVTPS has accepted an aftermarket product, the Fitment Centre/technician are listed on the AVTPS webpage, and they have access to the members-only benefits.

o   Listing of their approved installation fitment centers with locations.

o   Listing of their approved services.

o   Data transfer and a data portal to see the product registration information.

o   Able to partake in insurance theft prevention programs and other outreach activities.
